DAWATH - the prison mandi

Dawath-The Prison Mandi restaurant is another new entrant to the list of themed-based restaurants Hyderabad is known for its restaurant culture. A prison-themed restaurant was designed to attract the masses in Uppal, Hyderabad. 

The interiors of the place are an exact set-up of any Indian prison that you must have seen in movies or personally. Staff is also dressed up in khakis & prisoner clothing to compliment the theme.

The entrance of the restaurant starts with a giant prison door and the interiors comprise of air-conditioned prison cell outfitted with dining tables and chairs and witnesses exposed red bricks for walls, huge locks and metal doors for the prison cells. Red lights were fitted outside the cells to intimate the occupancy of the cell, and gives an authentic look to this “prison“.

The whole place is set into three floors where the first floor comes with table seating, the second floor comes with floor seating and the third floor comes with party hall cum premium table dining. The walls are given the rough texture that has similar look and feel of a prison and the walls have prison artifacts photo frames, models on the wall and waiter calling switch in each cabin are provided to give an elevated dining experience to the customers and staying true to the design theme.
